How strict is Allegiant with carry-on size?

Allegiant Air tries to offer the best relaxation on carry-on baggage but, all the pieces of baggage will have covered under the rules & regulations. Allegiant Air Baggage Policy: 

  • The baggage policies will consider the carry-on & checked-in baggage under the Allegiant Air baggage rules. Passengers are allowed to 1 carry-on baggage and 2 checked baggage without any additional cost. 
  • As per the Allegiant Air Baggage Policy, small personal items such as laptop bags, backpacks, purses & other similar things must be free of cost and the dimension of the personal item should not exceed 7X15X16 inches. 
  • For carry-on baggage, passengers can keep garment bags, roll-abroad bags, hanging bags, or tote bags and it will be applicable charges. The maximum size should not exceed 9X14X22 Inches. 
  • Hold luggage or checked baggage charges will depend on the number of pieces of baggage.
  • Allegiant Air applies the weight restriction on carry-on baggage where the baggage should not exceed 11.34 KG. 
  • The checked baggage should not exceed 80 inches and the maximum weight must be 18 KG. 
  • The linear size must be including wheels & handles and it will count LXWXH. 
  • Also, the carry-on baggage must fit under the seats. 

Allegiant Baggage Fees:

Allegiant Air baggage charges will depend on the distance, route, class, duration, or other major factors from the passenger’s flight ticket. Also, it gives relaxation for the US military personnel where they are allowed to 1 carry-on & first three checked baggage without any cost. 

  • Additional costs will count between 18 to 35 US dollars per bag on the duration of the booking. 
  • Each bag will consider 45 US dollars as additional Allegiant baggage fees if the booking has been made pre-departure. 

Allegiant Carry-on Allowance: 

  • An umbrella, diaper bag, assistive devices & strollers don't count under the Allegiant carry-on allowance.
  • If the baggage weight has exceeded 18 KG and passengers want to check in more than 2 bags so, follow the Allegiant Checked baggage allowance. 
  • At the time of the booking, you need to pay an additional 20 to 50 US dollars for each additional baggage. 
  • For pre-departure or at the airport booking, just pay the additional 45 to 50 US dollars for checked baggage. 

FAQ

 If you add this at the time of booking then you will be charged $15 to $41 (depending on the route), anytime between booking and departure will be $45, at the airport ticket counter you'll pay $50, and at the gate, it's up to $75.

Yes, each passenger may bring one carry-on bag and one personal item in addition to necessary medical and assistive devices (including strollers), one jacket or coat, a small umbrella, food for consumption en route and/or a diaper bag.
