How many check in baggage allowed in Turkish Airlines?
Passengers will get the liberty to follow 2 checked-in baggage facilities and the first baggage should be 23 KG for the economy class and it would be 32 KG for the business and first class. The dimensions of each baggage should not be above more than 45 X 72 X 92 CM.
Turkish Airlines baggage policy
According to Turkish Airlines Baggage Policy, passengers are allowed the Checked Baggage in the following ways: -
Economy Classic and Flex fares: 1 checked baggage and weight should not exceed 23 kg/50 lbs.
Non-flex Class: 3 checked baggage & weight should not exceed 32kg/70 lbs
On all routes, each traveler is allowed a maximum of 4 pieces of checked baggage, and excess baggage is accepted subject to space availability
Turkish Airlines carry-on policy
Travelers are permitted to carry 1 personal item & 1 carry-on item without any cost.
A traveler needs to pay for a purse, briefcase, and laptop bag) per person fee-free. (Personal item)
All the carry-on baggage will be considered through weight, dimension & size such as:
For Economy Flex Class: 1x8kg/17 lbs bag with max dimensions of 55x40x23cm/21x15x9 inches.
For Economy Semi Flex Class: 2 x 8 kg/ 17 lbs bags.
Additional charges on Carry-on baggage:
Extra carry-on bag – 100 US dollars or 120 CAD.
Heavy or overweight between 11 to 23 KG carry-on bag–50 US dollars / 60 CAD.
For Oversized between 114CM or above carry-on bag – 50 US dollars / 60 CAD.
Turkish Airlines Baggage Fee
Generally, the baggage fee will also count from the flight ticket feature or functionalities from the passenger flight ticket and mostly, it will consider the distance, duration, destination place, class, or other things.
Domestic ticket holders need to pay around 2 to 3 US dollars or 18 TRY per KG.
If the weight is exceeded then, the passenger needs to pay 5 to 36 US dollars per KG depending on the route.
If the passenger is experiencing overweight baggage then, he/she needs to pay around 80 US dollars for the international flight ticket.
Excess baggage charges would differ and it would be 185 to 350 US dollars.
For excess baggage, Turkish Airlines charges the following fees:
2nd Piece fee is 35 US dollars (Only for economy Semi-flex & Non-Flex)
3rd Piece fee is 130 US dollars (All’s Economy Fare)
4rth Piece fee is 175 US dollars
For heavy pieces between 24 to 32 kg, the traveler needs to pay 75 US dollars.
For oversize of dimension or length then, travelers have to pay 75 US dollars.
Apart from that, the baggage charges would be applied to all domestic or international ticket holders but, there are certain cases when the baggage charges would be applied based on the flight ticket fare. So, before doing anything, you must check the baggage allowances of the Turkish airlines.
