While travelling to any national or overseas destination, carry-on bags play an important role for the passengers. So, we are first going to talk about the carry-on baggage policy defined by this airline. As per this Qatar Airways Baggage Policy, you can carry-on at least one bag for free. The number of bags depend on the class of travel and duty-free items you are carrying. Business and First-Class passengers are eligible to carry 2 bags within 15kg weight (each) and 50 cm x 37 cm x 25 cm. Economy Class Passengers can carry 1 bag not exceeding 7 kg and 50 cm x 37 cm x 25 cm. However, this airline allows the passengers to carry the necessary items such as a walking stick onboard or a small camera.
What is QA Checked Baggage Policy?
The passengers who are flying to/from Brazil are eligible to carry 2 checked bags of 32 kg each and the passengers who are flying between Brazil and Argentina can carry 2 bags of 23 kg each.
If a person is flying to/from Canada, Argentina (except the flights flying between Brazil and Argentina), and the United States on Business and First-Class, he/she is eligible to carry 2 bags of 32 kg each.
As an Economy Class passenger, a person can carry 2 bags of 23 kg each.
The dimension of these bags (for all fare classes) should not be more than 158 cm including length, breath, and height.
In case you are flying to/from any other destination, you can carry 2 bags of 50 kg each in First Class, 2 bags of 40 kg each in Business Class, and 2 bags of 30 kg each in Economy Class.
What is QA Baggage Fee?
It is not possible for all of use to follow the policies defined by the Qatar management concerning the bags. We sometimes need to carry more bags or heavy bags. In case, you are carrying more bags than the permitted allowance or bags with more weight/linear restrictions, you will be subjected to pay additional fees to the airline. What is QA baggage policy for infants ?
An infant who is less than 8 days old can travel if his/her mother carries a Certificate that is obtained from a Pediatrician. She also needs to carry the fitness certificate of the infant. However, the trip is needed on Medical Grounds provided the approval of Qatar Airways Medical Centre. If you are flying with an infant who is less than 2-year-old, you don’t need to provide any certificate or follow any Qatar Airways Baggage Allowance if he/she travelling on a parent's lap. The policy is different for two infants. The second infant should be more than 12 months and capable enough to to sit on a seat with a seat belt. Child fare will be applied to the second infant traveling with you.
