This was my second visit to the Moon Palace. The first visit we stayed in the Sunrise section and were close to all the activities. This visit we were place in the Nizuc section and had to walk quite a ways to everything. This was okay, but if I go back I will make sure I am in the Sunrise section.
Each time we stayed in a similar room: Superior Deluxe. Two queen beds, flat screen TV, large bathroom with separate shower area, double jacuzzi and balcony with table and chairs. Colors are natural: browns, blacks, tans and whites. The rooms here are great. Mini bar complete with all the soda/juice/beer you want.
There are 12 restaurants to choose from. My favorite is the Italian restaurant in the Golf/Spa building. They have this soup that is half tomatoe and half asparagus that is out of this world. Next favorite is the asian restaurant....everything is good.
The pools are magnificent. Large, clean, clear and heavenly. The beach has powdery white sand. Seaweed washed up frequently but the hotel staff cleans the beach several times a day.
Service is great. Everyone is eager to please.
My next trip is a cruise on the Freedom of the Seas...we leave on May 9, 2010.
