Carmie
Well,as you probably have figured out, I love to travel and I'm equally passionate about photography, the perfect combination if you ask me because I can relive my traveling experiences over and over.

People who know me, even my own children and grandchildren,  think I'm a nut and I'm not going to deny it because it's true.  So what's wrong with it?    I'm a middle aged woman who has not yet lost her curiosity to find out what's around the next bend and I love to have fun while looking for that place and I don't mind poking around while I'm at it.  You find the most amazing places that way.

Take Rome, for example.  I've been there twice and I could see it over and over again because it's so beautiful, full of surprises.  You don't need a boatload of money to go there, either.  The trick is to go in the low season and most of all, look out for airfare specials.  You can get an airfare to Europe for almost half the price this way.  Food and accomodations?  No problem.  Who needs to stay in a four stars hotel?  Three or even two stars hotels are just fine for me, as long as they're clean and safe.  But I'm going ahead of myself.

Just read my travel blogs.  See you soon!

My Dream House in Key West!
What can I say about Key West except it's a place that fits my personality quite well.  I love its relaxed attitude, nature's riot of colors, the profusion of tropical flowers, almost as if a painter decided he had enough of boring, safe colors, and gave himself with abandon to the bright colors of the Caribbean islands, and for good measure, he let loose a bunch of chickens and roosters all over the island, just for fun.

Sunset Celebration in Key West
Then, when he felt tired, with a flourish he painted beautiful sunsets and invited everybody to enjoy the big show at the end of the day, what it's known as "The Sunset Celebration". And so, every evening, as if some piper played its magic flute, hordes of people stream toward Mallory Square to celebrate the magic of sunset.  When the sun dips beyond the horizon, everyone gather around the square and starts clapping until the bright disk disappears.  It's a beautiful sight and a moving celebration, both to life and to nature.
