This morning I took the funicular and the telefèric up to see the Castell de Monjuïc - one of the high points of the city, near the waterfront. The temperature had already started climbing and it was hot in the bright sun in the open yards of the old fort.
Afterwards, I took the bus back to town, bought lunch and walked to the Ciutat Vella (old city). J'ai visité le Museu de la Xocolata (Chocolate Museum). I saw a group of kids with their summer camp counsellors in the Escuela Xocolata drawing on parchment paper with liquid chocolate in parchment decorating funnels - now that's one field trip that I would like to go on!!
J'ai aussi visité le Museu Picasso et ensuite j'ai exploré les petits magasins dans ce quartier.
I then took the metro north and visited the Torre Agbar, which a well-known landmark due to it's unusual shape and colours.
Pour ma dernière nuit à Barcelona, j'ai marché au Port Vell (the old port). There were lots of street vendors selling scarves, fake LV and Tous bags, trinkets, battery-powered toys, etc. The temperature outside had cooled down to 22 degrees by10:30 pm.
